SML Performance - A performance parts storefront for Canadian gearheads
SML Performance sells automotive performance parts across Canada. The catalogue runs to more than 317,000 dropshipped products, which is the kind of number that sounds like an advantage and behaves like a problem: prices drift, listings go stale, and a shop that large is impossible to simply browse.
The question worth answering was never how to list everything. It was how a mechanic finds the one part that fits their truck, and has a reason to trust that it fits.
So we built the store around the vehicle rather than the catalogue. A “My Garage” fitment engine narrows every product to the exact make, model and year a customer drives, and an AI advisor sits on top of the live catalogue to answer questions in plain language - recommending real part numbers it can point to, and declining to invent the ones it cannot.
