Devnet - The Aotearoa New Zealand International Development Studies Network

The Aotearoa New Zealand International Development Studies Network serves as a platform connecting individuals and organizations involved in or conducting research on international development. It fosters the exchange of ideas, information, and research among staff, students, and other stakeholders in Development Studies and related fields. These stakeholders include aid and development NGOs, private sector development practitioners, and government entities, particularly the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Every two years, Devnet hosts an event called the Devnet Conference. This event has been held multiple times in the past, attracting a large number of participants. However, the repetitive design of the website over the years has led to a sense of monotony for users. Because of this, Devnet wanted to bring a fresh perspective to this year’s event (2024) and sought out the Lean Growth team to make it happen.

We worked closely together to brainstorm design ideas for two landing pages, one for pre-event and one for post-event. Based on the current state of the website, the Lean Growth team proposed a solution that would preserve the existing structure while also adding a fresh, exciting touch for this year’s conference.
